TFP 2023 – Attending the Symposium
Venue
The conference will take place on the UMass Boston Campus in University Hall, 2nd floor, room 2110.
Take note of the “Construction Zones” and “Walking Paths” marked on the map above.
Due to ongoing construction some parts of campus are not accessible.

Hotel
The closest hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside.

It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk from the hotel (down Mt. Vernon St, then take the walkway through campus) to University Hall.
Alternatively, one can take the UMass Boston Shuttle (track in real-time):
- walk to the Bayside stop on Mt. Vernon St in front of hotel
- take the UMass Boston shuttle bus to Campus Center (5 min)
- walk from Campus Center to University Hall (next door)
From Logan Airport
- Take the Silver Line (bus) to South Station
- Then take the T Red Line (subway), to JFK/UMass station.
Then:
- walk to DoubleTree hotel from JFK/UMass (5min)
or
- Take the UMass Boston shuttle bus to Campus Center (5-10 min)
- Walk from Campus Center to University Hall (next door)
From South Station
- Take the T Red Line (subway), to JFK/UMass station.
- Take the UMass Boston shuttle bus to Campus Center (5-10 min)
- walk from Campus Center to University Hall (next door)
Parking
Closest parking garage to University Hall (connected, next door) is the Campus Center Garage.
If that is full, parking is also available in the West Garage or Bayside Lot.

Due to some ongoing construction, be sure to follow the marked “Walking Paths” (see UMass Boston Campus Map) to get from the parking lot to University Hall.
Wi-Fi
Attendees with university credentials should be able to access the internet using EduRoam.
For other attendees, we have set up the Event_Guests network. Password is ???

Excursion
On Saturday, after lunch, we will embark on a Trolley Tour of Boston.
Banquet
After the tour, our Trolley will drop us directly at The Oceanaire Seafood Room restaurant.
